The Role: Impact, Leadership and Clinical Excellence
As a Clinical Lead, you will balance an active, rewarding clinical caseload with high-impact strategic leadership. You will act as the organisational lead for speech pathology, driving transdisciplinary practice and building capability across the service.
Key responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership: Provide expert advice, set clinical standards, and contribute to our Clinical Governance Committee.
Workforce Capability: Coach, mentor, and drive best practice to build confidence and competence across the team.
Transdisciplinary Practice Leadership: Lead the integration of speech pathology approaches across all service streams, supporting collaborative practice.
Student Supervision: Champion tertiary education by overseeing speech pathology student placement programs and strengthening university partnerships.
Service Innovation: Translate contemporary research into practical tools and pioneer new, evidence-based service delivery models.
The capabilities you will bring
A relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current CPSP membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Minimum 7 years of clinical experience, with a strong background in paediatric and/or disability contexts.
Proven capability in mentoring clinicians, leading student placements, and championing transdisciplinary models of care.
Exceptional communication skills, a sound understanding of NDIS frameworks, and a knack for driving continuous quality improvement.
A current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Australian residency/work rights.
