The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Alcohol and Other Drugs service offers free, non-judgemental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families. Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated leader to join the Forensic Drug & Alcohol Team. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based alcohol and other drug (AOD) services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
Working collaboratively across health, justice, and community sectors, you will support the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care aimed at improving health outcomes, reducing substance-related harm, and supporting recovery and rehabilitation.
The Team Leader Forensic Drug & Alcohol Team provides a key role in the front-line operational management and continued development of the NBMLHD Forensic Drug & Alcohol Team. This role ensures the effective implementation of the Magistrates Referral into Treatment (M.E.R.I.T) and Drug Court programs, driving the team towards excellence in service delivery.
This role will see you overseeing daily operations, supporting staff through clinical supervision, and fostering referral pathways with other service providers. The role also involves managing a patient caseload, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care, and as a cost center manager oversee the financial management and activity reporting of designated cost centers, ensuring effective budget control, efficient resource allocation and alignment with organisational financial and performance objectives.
