Right now we are seeking a Chef with a passion for food, a desire to learn and the ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated kitchen team. Experience in Asian cuisine is highly regarded.
Responsibility
· Plan, prepare, cook and present a range of Asian dishes to a consistently high standard.
· Organise and coordinate day-to-day food preparation and cooking activities across relevant kitchen sections.
· Contribute to efficient kitchen operations by maintaining food quality, presentation standards, stock control, food safety and hygiene procedures.
Main tasks and duties
· Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes, cooking procedures, portion standards and presentation requirements.
· Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation.
· Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team on food preparation, service timing, cooking procedures and kitchen workflow.
· Prepare and adapt dishes to meet dietary requirements and customer requests where necessary.
· Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portioning and presentation.
· Check the quality, freshness and suitability of raw ingredients and food materials before preparation and use.
· Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, safe and operating correctly prior to use.
· Receive, store, label and rotate stock in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
· Follow and maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace safety regulations at all times.
· Assist in guiding junior kitchen staff or kitchen attendants on food preparation, cooking procedures and hygiene standards, where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
· Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in Asian cuisine.
· Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen operations and food safety requirements.

Pay: $78,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Chef or Cook, preferably in Asian cuisine.: 3 years (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CERT III and or CERT IV in Commercial Cookery (Required)
