About the Opportunity
The Industry Relationships Coordinator is a HEW 6 position within the Strategic Partnerships team of the School of Business and Law (SBL) at Edith Cowan University. The role is based at ECU's City Campus in the Perth CBD, the University's primary institutional interface with industry, government and the professions.
Reporting to the Manager, Industry Partnerships, this position is responsible for coordinating and delivering the School's industry outreach, partner-facing events and alumni engagement activity. The role maintains a high-quality engagement pipeline, stewarding the relationships that support SBL's strategic partnerships, employability and accreditation objectives.
Working closely with the Manager, Industry Partnerships, the position is responsible for building and maintaining the School's network of industry and community relationships, identifying prospective partners and developing those connections into substantive, ongoing collaborations that serve the School's strategic priorities. The role takes a leading role in the School's alumni engagement function, developing and maintaining alumni relationships, shaping communications strategy and identifying opportunities to leverage alumni networks in support of the School's industry partnerships, employability and Executive Education objectives.
Beyond relationship development, the position takes ownership of the School's engagement data environment, ensuring the integrity of the University's CRM and translating that data into actionable reporting for senior stakeholders. The role also supports the planning and delivery of partner-facing and alumni events across the School's engagement calendar, contributing to end-to-end coordination from venue and vendor management through to post-event evaluation.
The position is expected to contribute substantively to the continuous improvement of the team's outreach, engagement and event practices, proposing refinements to procedures, templates and reporting frameworks, and providing expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on matters within the portfolio.
At its core, this role exists to deliver better outcomes for students, deepen the School's research connections and strengthen SBL's place in the Perth business community.
About you
Our ideal candidate will bring tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, underpinned by solid experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, ideally with exposure to the higher education sector or a similarly complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
You will be a confident communicator with demonstrated experience engaging industry partners, alumni and senior stakeholders, and a track record of managing CRM systems, producing engagement reports and coordinating events with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. You will bring sound judgement, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across a busy portfolio.
You will be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve how the team works, contributing to process refinement and sharing knowledge with colleagues as a natural part of how you operate.
