The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Senior Registrars / Fellows (Emergency Medicine) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide appropriate evidenced-based clinical care and delegate the provision of clinical care to patients under their name
Teach and supervise junior medical staff, students, nursing staff associated with the service
Contribute to the Emergency Department developing new tertiary roles
Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent recognised qualification is a requirement
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent and be eligible for registration as a specialist with AHPRA
Evidence of competency in speaking and communicating in English as demonstrated by having completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination and achieving a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, up to 12 months, hours negotiable)
Base salary ranging from $6,719.90 - $7,405 per fortnight, $88.41 - $97.43 per hour

Gold Coast University Hospital ED is classified as a Level 6 tertiary facility under the Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF) Version 3.1 as developed by the Queensland Department of Health. Robina Hospital ED is classified as a Level 4 service under the CSCF.
