The salary for this role is $135,174 per annum + Superannuation.

About the role:
Join RACGP as an Information Security and Risk Analyst and help strengthen our information security, risk and assurance program. Reporting to the IT Security and Risk Manager, you'll work across business and technology teams to assess security risks, conduct assurance activities, support audit and compliance obligations, provide practical security advice, and help drive security improvement initiatives.
This is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure to governance, information protection, resilience, vendor assurance and security uplift initiatives within a collaborative security team.
As our Information Security and Risk Analyst, you'll also:
- Conduct security risk assessments, control reviews and assurance activities across systems, projects and third-party vendors.
- Partner with technology and business stakeholders to embed practical security, risk and compliance practices into projects and business processes.
- Support audit readiness, compliance activities, and the coordination and tracking of security-related audit actions and risk treatment activities.
- Maintain key security governance artefacts and contribute to security maturity initiatives aligned to Essential Eight, ISO 27001, information protection and cyber resilience.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in information security, cyber security, security governance, risk, compliance or assurance, with a solid understanding of security controls and risk management principles.
- Hands-on experience supporting security risk assessments, audits, control reviews, vendor security assessments or security governance programs.
- Working knowledge of recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight, NIST or similar control-based security frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and security concepts into practical business outcomes across technical and non-technical audiences.
