This is an opportunity to lead operational policy work that helps ensure taxi, rideshare and other hire vehicle services are safe, accessible and lawful.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead a small team delivering the Commission’s operational policy function, managing a varied work program while balancing competing priorities.
- Develop and review operational policies, procedures and related documents, ensuring they remain coherent, current and fit for purpose.
- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to ensure policy settings remain practical, enforceable and informed by operational insights and stakeholder input.
- Contribute operational policy expertise to organisational planning and the delivery of the Commission’s strategic priorities.
- Provide high-quality advice and briefings to the Director Strategy and senior leaders on operational policy matters.

About you
You are an experienced policy professional with sound judgement and a practical, collaborative approach.
You can lead people and a varied work program, balance competing priorities and turn complex issues into clear, implementable policy.
Experience in transport policy, regulation or another similarly complex environment will be highly regarded.
