The Estimator/Contract Administrator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for fit-out projects, as well as managing contracts, monitoring progress, and ensuring the smooth execution of construction agreements. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time
Key Responsibilities:
· Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop accurate cost estimates for fit-out projects.
· Prepare detailed material, labor, and subcontractor estimates, ensuring all project requirements are accounted for.
· Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including the compilation of quantities and rates.
· Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data to inform estimates.
· Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability of materials and services.
· Work closely with the Project Manager and Design team to understand project scope and provide input during the planning phase.
· Coordinate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms.
· Communicate effectively with clients to clarify project details and requirements when necessary.
· Provide regular updates on the status of estimates and tenders
- Responding to inquiries and resolving problems concerning contracts.
- Managing paperwork associated with contracts.
- Establishing and maintaining stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimise risk, and maximise the value from the contract.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
· Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in estimating for fit-out, construction, or related industries.
· Strong understanding of construction processes.
· Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail in estimating and documentation.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
