Sacca’s Fine Foods is a fast-growing, family-owned business known for providing fresh, high-quality produce and exceptional service to the community. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Fresh Produce Assistant to join our dedicated team.
About the Role:
As a Fresh Produce Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality and presentation of our fresh produce, while delivering outstanding service to our customers. You’ll be working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where attention to detail, food handling standards, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide excellent service
- Cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh fruits and vegetables
- Monitor product quality and perform regular quality control checks
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the produce area
- Minimize product waste and assist with shrinkage control
- Process customer sales using POS systems
- Support other store departments as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a fresh produce, supermarket, or greengrocer environment is highly regarded
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a physically active role
- Good attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Willingness to learn and assist across multiple departments
- Availability for early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
