Learning and Assessment Specialist
NotesEdu is an Australia based EdTech company that helps over 30 000 students across Australia. We have a rare opportunity for our Test Experts Team for English, Mathematics & Reasoning Assessment Specialists with flexible working conditions. We need a subject matter expert in these three subject areas who can work independently with minimum supervision to develop and create video course content, assessments and/or other supporting materials in various mediums from videos to exam-style questions. A meticulous person with excellent organisational and time management skills is highly preferred.
Experience
Proven experience in teaching Mathematics or English subjects (Primary or High School level)
Demonstrated experience in designing, developing and writing assessments
Demonstrated an ability to provide quality assurance for new and updated examination materials
Crafted examination questions (multiple choice or short answer questions) and course material for primary, secondary and/or undergraduate levels
Demonstrated experience in designing & developing the layout and presentation of high-quality diagrams, images and graphs in course material
Enhanced written and spoken communication skills
Thorough knowledge and understanding of copyright regulation and plagiarism
Undertaken or tutored at least one of the following: HSC (or equivalent), UCAT, SAT, GMAT or LSAT exams
Ideally, a person who has experience working in large tutoring organisations, international publishing companies or well established education bodies and have been responsible for writing and editing academic content on a regular basis.
Educational Qualifications:
Qualified Educator in the primary or secondary sector (with WWCC and NESA Accreditation).
We also consider current university students or recent HSC graduate (with a minimum band 6 in English & Mathematics and an ATAR above 99.00)
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Debating or public speaking experience is also preferred.
Technical Skills:
Optional: working knowledge of Apple devices (iMac, MacBook, or iPad)
Fluency in online meeting platforms like Zoom, Google Meets or Microsoft Teams etc.
Microsoft Office Suite
Aptitude and ability to learn any new software or platform
Desirable:
Optional: design Tools: Experience in any of these: Keynote, Figma, Adobe Illustrator (optional)

Self-driven, proactive and go-getter
Responsibilities:
Develop a range of English, Mathematics or Critical Reasoning preparation materials including but not limited to questions, solutions, booklets, videos and online courses
Develop assessments aligned to the K-12 Syllabus as well as competitive exams. Create multiple-choice and enhanced question types in NotesEdu’s online platform
Writing rubrics, sample responses, answer explanations and distractor rationales for multiple choice questions
Evaluate and edit existing content to make it flawless
Design cover page, source images and artwork and recommend design concepts for course materials
Have a willingness to experiment and explore what the future of education looks like – you may be asked to undertake live lessons with students from time to time as well as participate in innovative thinking sessions to envision the future of NotesEdu
Ensure copyright laws are always followed
Maintain strict confidentiality of course materials and questions for assessment integrity

Attractive Salary commensurate with experience.
You need to give a minimum of 10–15 hour commitment per week. The work is flexible and project-orientated and can be planned around your other commitments. Work will be conducted remotely online (i.e. work from home).
