Commercial Kitchens Armiya provides installation, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair services for commercial kitchen equipment across Melbourne and Victoria.
We work with restaurants, cafés, hotels, hospitals, schools, aged care facilities and other commercial food businesses.
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills to join our team.
The successful candidate will attend customer sites across Melbourne to diagnose, service, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial kitchen and catering equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, diagnose and repair commercial electrical kitchen equipment.
- Perform electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Replace faulty electrical and mechanical components and spare parts.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Install and commission new commercial kitchen equipment within the scope of relevant licences and qualifications.
- Test equipment following servicing, repairs and installation to ensure safe and correct operation.
- Identify faulty components and required spare parts.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals and manufacturer documentation.
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
- Provide professional and reliable customer service while attending customer sites.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with applicable regulations, standards and manufacturer requirements.

Essential Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience servicing, repairing and maintaining commercial electrical kitchen or catering equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience diagnosing equipment breakdowns and carrying out repairs.
- Experience replacing electrical and mechanical components and spare parts.
- Experience working with components such as heating elements, motors, pumps, contactors, relays, thermostats, sensors, switches and control systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently at customer sites.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Valid Australian working rights.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence.
- Relevant Restricted Electrical Worker's Licence (REL).
- Experience installing and commissioning new commercial kitchen equipment.
- Experience with commercial dishwashers, combi ovens and commercial cooking equipment.
- Previous experience as a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician, Catering Equipment Technician, Field Service Technician or Appliance Technician.
- Commercial refrigeration experience or relevant qualifications.
- Gasfitting qualifications.
- White Card.
