Dental Assistant – Join Our New Dental Practice in Dickson
Dickson Dental on Cape is seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a new, modern dental practice focused on providing caring, high-quality treatment to patients of all ages.
Key responsibilities
* Providing chairside assistance during clinical procedures
* Comply with sterilisation and cross infection prevention procedures and protocols
* Maintaining accurate sterilisation records and completing routine equipment checks
* Taking responsibility for surgery setup and turnaround between patients
* Supporting patients and helping them feel comfortable during appointments
* Maintaining clinical stock and advising when supplies need to be ordered
* Helping with reception duties when required, including answering calls, booking appointments and processing payments
* Maintaining a clean, organised and professional clinical environment
About you
* Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
* Knowledge of current infection-prevention and sterilisation requirements
* Friendly, caring and professional manner
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable, organised and able to use initiative
* Comfortable working with both adults and children
* Willingness to learn and grow with the practice
* Current Australian working rights
