About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Chef to manage kitchen operations and prepare high-quality meals for our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food quality standards, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and developing menus in consultation with management
- Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of meals to a high standard
- Monitoring food preparation and portion control
- Ordering, receiving and managing stock and kitchen supplies
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Supervising and training kitchen staff
- Managing kitchen operations during service periods
- Assisting with cost control and minimising food wastage
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
