At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join our Cancer Services team as a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Early Breast.
About the Opportunity
As the Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Early Breast, you will provide specialist nursing care, education and support to patients diagnosed with early breast cancer. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate care across the patient journey, advocate for patients and their families, and deliver evidence-based, person-centred care that promotes the best possible outcomes.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuity of care and enhancing the patient experience. In this role you will:
- Provide specialist clinical care, education and support to patients and carers throughout their early breast cancer treatment journey.
- Coordinate and facilitate seamless, patient-centred care across multiple stages of treatment and between healthcare services.
- Deliver advanced clinical leadership, mentoring and expert advice to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
- Assess, plan and manage complex patient care while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and care plans.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and the development of clinical processes and services.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals to support informed decision-making and positive health outcomes.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Division 1), with postgraduate qualifications in breast cancer nursing or oncology nursing, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive post-registration nursing experience, including recent experience in surgical or medical oncology and advanced clinical knowledge of early breast cancer care.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, coordinate and manage complex patient care while delivering evidence-based, person-centred support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
- A collaborative approach with proven clinical leadership, mentoring and advocacy skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, high-quality patient care, and delivering exceptional outcomes aligned with CCLHD's values.
