About Us- The Broken Oven Pizza Bar is a busy local pizza shop committed to providing high-quality food, excellent customer service, and an enjoyable dining experience. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our business and support the continued growth of our store.
About the Role- As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily retail operations, ensuring efficient store performance, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and leading the team to achieve business goals. You will play a key role in stock management, staff supervision, sales performance, and maintaining compliance with food safety and workplace regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the pizza shop to ensure efficient and smooth service.
- Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to improve revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate inventory levels, order food ingredients, beverages, packaging, and other retail supplies to maintain appropriate stock.
- Work with suppliers to source quality products and negotiate purchasing requirements.
- Assist in planning promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and local marketing activities to increase customer engagement.
- Monitor product pricing and recommend pricing adjustments based on business performance and market conditions.
- Ensure excellent customer service by responding promptly to customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales, cash handling, and daily operational reports.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and monitoring operational expenses to achieve business targets.
- Recruit, roster, train, mentor, and supervise retail staff to ensure high performance and compliance with company procedures.
- Ensure the workplace complies with food safety standards, occupational health and safety requirements, and relevant regulatory obligations.
- Monitor store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising to maintain a welcoming environment for customers.
- Work closely with the business owner to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and overall business performance.
Skills, Qualification & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least one year of retail manager experience.
- Require qualification of Diploma or Higher in relevant field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience in stock control, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
- Sound organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality and retail environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and basic financial reporting.
- Understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
