About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to shape how operational services are delivered across Darebin.
As Systems & Data Lead, you'll work alongside operational leaders to improve the way teams work by strengthening systems, simplifying business processes and building confidence in using technology and data. You'll help turn operational challenges into practical solutions that improve both the employee and customer experience.
Working across the Operations & Waste and Natural & Civic Spaces departments, you'll partner with leaders, Information Technology and Customer Service to identify opportunities, deliver improvements and build capability that enables teams to work smarter, make informed decisions and provide consistent, high-quality services to our community.
You will:
- Partner with operational teams to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
- Build capability by coaching, supporting and empowering staff to confidently use systems, data and technology.
- Lead business improvement initiatives that simplify work, improve efficiency and enhance customer outcomes.
- Develop meaningful reporting and insights that support better operational decision-making.
- Foster collaboration across operational and corporate teams to deliver integrated, customer-focused services
About you:
You're a collaborative and curious leader who enjoys solving problems, bringing people together and making work easier for others. You can translate technical concepts into practical solutions and are passionate about helping teams embrace better ways of working.
- Experience improving business systems, processes and workflows within a complex organisation.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, coach and support people through change.
- Experience using data and reporting to identify opportunities and drive operational improvement.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance operational needs, governance and continuous improvement.
- Excellent planning, communication and project management skills, with a passion for delivering practical outcomes.
