Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking passionate Disability Support Worker(s) to join the team, located throughout south-east Melbourne.
- Male participant.
- Caulfield North location.
- Weekdays 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Weekends 9:00 am - 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Inactive overnights possibly available soon.
- Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis and experience required.
- Tasks include: supervision/companionship, basic domestic assistance (vacuuming, dusting, etc), meal prep, community access/shopping, personal care (showering, toileting, etc) in near future.
- Support worker preference, female around/over 30 years of age. Must have license and own vehicle.
- Support expected to continue to increase over time.
- Possibility for additional work with other participants nearby.
We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients.
Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain):
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants <18 years of age).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License.
- A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (to transport participants).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Approximately $123).
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum of two doses).
- The right to work in Australia.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $41.50 – $80.00 per hour
