Leading apartment hotel is currently seeking a Maintenance Person to support our Woolloongabba property.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Person you will work to ensure our property is safe, well maintained and well presented.
Your key responsibilities
- Fitting, testing, repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings, including lightbulbs, windows, doors, and handrails.
- Performing basic plumbing maintenance and repairs on taps, basins and toilets.
- Performing basic carpentry, including hanging and replacing doors and operating power tools.
- Performing minor welds to fabricate or repair fixtures.
- Reporting requirements for significant repairs to management.
- Clearing gutters and common areas of rubbish and debris.
- Applying and repairing paint and plaster.
- Changing locks on doors and windows.
To be successful in this role you will have
- Familiarity with maintenance officer/handyman duties or hold an applicable trade.
- Exposure in a hotel environment is highly desirable.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently.
- Availability to work shifts Monday to Friday, while weekends and public holidays would only be required ad hoc should there be an emergency requirement
- Professional approach in dealing with guests and other staff members whilst carrying out your daily tasks.
- A current driver’s license .
