About us
NSW Fair Trading is responsible for the administration of consumer protection laws in NSW. This role is based in the Digital Products & Services Team Digital Directorate. Our people and ways of working are organised around working collaboratively with key stakeholders to provide the best digital solutions for our NSW Fair Trading customers.
Primary purpose of the role.
This role will work with the digital team to support with systems transition, including discovery, analysis, process design and modelling of current Fair Trading Digital landscape. Identifying, analysing and documenting business processes, systems, and other functional requirements to support efficient delivery of new digital solutions, enhancement, business operations and performance in line with organisational strategies and operational plans.
Your responsibilities will include
- Identify, analyse and translate applications, systems, business processes, technical functions
- Investigate problems, analyse options and provide recommendations for new and existing services, new initiatives, strategies and products to improve compliance, effectiveness and to address risks
- Manage and monitor relationships with, and between, stakeholders to engage with users to understand and analyse solutions to business problems, collate needs and research fit for purpose solutions
- Review and propose business improvements and contribute to the development, facilitation, coordination and communication of initiatives and strategies to ensure organisational consistency and adoption of best practice
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain/maintain specialist and business knowledge and to facilitate scoping and setting of business priorities
About you
- Have exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills with a proven ability to work across multiple tasks and a desire to build strong partnerships.
- Experience in capturing business requirements and terminology and translating this into technical functional and non-functional requirement sets.
- You will have exceptional analytical skills and be able to identify opportunities for improvements. You will also be able to create high level and insightful documents and present and explain complex business case information to all levels within the organisation.
- You are an excellent communicator and will be able to build and hold strong stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to balance competing demands
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing, at all levels
- Strong time management and organisational skills
Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $113562 base plus superannuation
