Technical Field Officer

Vicentia is seeking applications for the position of Technical Field Officer based in Western Australia. This role supports field-based agronomic activities, commercial trial implementation, data collection, technical reporting, and distributor engagement across relevant production regions.

Vicentia operates in liquid plant nutrition and bio-nutritional products and works with growers and distributors across horticulture, viticulture, and broadacre production systems. The business is operating internationally and supporting its commercial activity with on-farm trial work and technical evidence generation.
Position overview
The Technical Field Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commercial field trials; collecting and interpreting agronomic data; preparing technical summaries and reports; supporting distributor training; and representing the business in a professional field capacity.
The position requires regular travel within Western Australia and the ability to work independently across variable field conditions, seasonal workloads, and regional trial sites.
Key duties
· Design, establish, monitor, and complete commercial field trials from initial planning through to final reporting.
· Collect, verify, analyse, and present trial data in a clear and technically defensible format for internal and external stakeholders.
· Liaise with growers, distributors, and internal personnel regarding trial protocol, field observations, product performance, and reporting requirements.
· Deliver technical support and product-related training to distributor personnel where required.
· Identify and progress suitable seasonal trial opportunities aligned with business objectives and regional crop programs.
· Contribute accurate field-derived information for technical and marketing use where applicable.
· Maintain professional representation of Vicentia at all times in field and stakeholder interactions.
Mandatory requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum criteria:
· A minimum Diploma qualification in Agricultural Science, Rural Science, or a closely related discipline.
· Demonstrated field-based agricultural experience, including responsibility for trial work, crop monitoring, agronomic assessment, or related technical activities.
· Sound working knowledge of farming systems and agricultural practices relevant to Western Australia.
· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage competing field priorities, and maintain accurate technical records.
· Well-developed written and verbal communication skills suitable for technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly for data handling and reporting.
· A current and valid driver's licence.

Remuneration
Salary: $79,500 per annum plus applicable superannuation.
