Join a leading Canberra hospitality Club, delivering experiences across our 5 venues and multiple event spaces.
We’re currently seeking a Sales & Events Coordinator to join our Sales & Events team. This is a hands-on role supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of events across our venues. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs, prepare proposals and event details, coordinate bookings and liaise with our venue, food and beverage and operational teams to make sure every detail is covered.

This permanent, full-time role based in Woden, Australian Capital Territory, is ideal for an any candidate looking to further their career in event management and sales. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating events and driving sales initiatives, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and execution of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored solutions.
- Manage event logistics, including venue setup, catering arrangements, and audiovisual requirements.
- Support the Sales & Events team in generating leads and following up on potential clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and event details in the database.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless event delivery and client satisfaction.
- Assist in marketing efforts to promote upcoming events and services.
What you'll need to succeed

Experience in events, functions, hospitality, venue coordination, or a similar customer-focused role.
- Proven ability to coordinate events from initial enquiry and booking through to delivery.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple bookings without losing sight of the details.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence working directly with clients and internal teams.
- Comfortable preparing event proposals, quotes, function details and other client documentation.
- A strong sales and commercial focus, with an understanding of how to convert enquiries and identify opportunities to grow event revenue.
- Confident coordinating with venue teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure events are well planned and delivered.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using booking or event management systems highly regarded.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality, event management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software is a plus.
