We're looking for a Senior Technical Lead to join our team at an exciting time. You'll step into a growing, award-winning team to take ownership of the technical delivery, quality, and evolution of two major enterprise eCommerce clients, spanning B2C and B2B. This role is responsible for the ongoing stability, performance, and quality of existing Adobe Commerce implementations, while defining and guiding a progressive evolution toward more decoupled, composable, and scalable architectures.
You will be the engineering authority who, working alongside architects, makes the vision real and owns how it gets built, scaled, and sustained. You will operate across the full lifecycle — from hands-on engineering and delivery oversight through technical strategy, roadmap definition, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead distributed engineering teams, raise the bar on engineering practices, and act as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders including CIOs and CTOs. This is a hybrid role requiring deep hands-on capability in enterprise Commerce implementation, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to pragmatically evolve complex, revenue-critical platforms without disruption.
Technical Ownership & Engineering Excellence - Own the engineering approach across all workstreams, ensuring consistent patterns, high implementation quality, and strong discipline across delivery workflows.-
Platform Stability, Scalability & Evolution - Maintain and evolve robust commerce platforms, defining client‑specific technical roadmaps that balance immediate delivery with long‑term architectural health.

Architecture to Execution Translation - Translate architectural direction into clear, pragmatic engineering patterns, integration approaches, and implementation guidance across commerce, data, and third‑party systems.

Engineering Standards, Tooling & AI Enablement - Set and uphold high standards for code quality, security, testing, CI/CD, observability, and leverage modern and AI‑assisted development practices to improve quality and productivity.

Team Leadership & Capability Uplift - Lead, mentor, and uplift distributed engineering teams, defining standards, coaching developers, and tracking engineering health through meaningful metrics.

Technical Leadership, Governance & Client Partnership - Act as the senior technical authority for clients, clearly communicating trade‑offs and roadmaps, contributing to commercial discussions, and continuously improving delivery governance and ways of working.
The person we are looking for has:

10+ years’ experience in software engineering, with significant experience in eCommerce
- Proven experience leading technical delivery for complex, enterprise eCommerce platforms (B2C and/or B2B and/or marketplace)
- Proven experience nurturing relationships with senior stakeholders at CIO and CTO level.
- Experience working in multi-brand, or complex organisational environments.
- Demonstrated experience evolving monolithic platforms toward decoupled or headless architectures

Cross-platform AI experience across AWS, Microsoft Azure (e.g. Bedrock, AgentCore, Azure ML etc.)
- Experience leading distributed teams across onshore and offshore models.

Experience contributing to technical roadmaps, solution design, and pre-sales activities
