Role description
Dhelkaya Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Exercise Physiology Professional Lead to provide professional leadership, clinical governance and workforce support for our Exercise Physiology team, while continuing to deliver high-quality clinical care.
This pivotal role combines professional leadership with hands-on clinical practice and program oversight. Working closely with the Chief Allied Health Officer, Program Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape the future of Exercise Physiology services across the organisation, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based care for our community.
As the Exercise Physiology Professional Lead, you will champion professional excellence, support and develop staff, and provide expert advice on discipline-specific matters. You will foster a positive professional culture through clinical supervision, mentoring, workforce development initiatives and quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership, governance and advocacy for the Exercise Physiology workforce across Dhelkaya Health.
- Support, mentor and supervise Exercise Physiologists to promote professional growth, wellbeing and best practice.
- Drive evidence-based practice, quality improvement and clinical excellence across services.
- Assist with workforce planning, recruitment, retention and professional development initiatives.
- Promote safe clinical practice through effective risk management and governance processes.
- Collaborate with the Chief Allied Health Officer, Program Managers and key stakeholders to support service planning and delivery.
- Maintain an active clinical caseload, delivering high-quality care to patients and clients.
- Provide oversight and leadership for designated community, outpatient and/or inpatient programs as required.
- Act as a professional resource and advisor on Exercise Physiology matters across the organisation.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology
- Current ESSA membership as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- Current drivers' licence.
- Strong clinical expertise and experience in Exercise Physiology practice.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervision and mentoring skills.
