Roof Plumber Slate Roofer wanted for busy Slate and Copper Roofing business on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Being a team leader, the applicant is responsible for running jobs from start to finish and co-ordinating the rest of the team. Provide quality workmanship in installing new slate roofs. Communicate with clients on a daily basis and ensure work is of the highest standard.
DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Securely erecting or installing safety structures i.e. ladders, scaffold, hand rails, anchor points
- Collecting materials from various suppliers
- Grade slate tiles as they appear on site
- Stripping of existing roofs
- Sarking and battening of new roofs
- Replacement of slates using copper nails
- Installing skylights, skydomes, vents etc and cutting and sizing surrounding materials to fit
- Installing and/or replacing valleys, gutters, ridge and all associated rain water goods
- Bedding and pointing of ridge capping
- Ensuring site is tidy and safe at all times
- Safe disposal all roofing materials
QUALIFICATIONS, WORK EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- At least 12 months experience is required working on slate roofs. Copper roofing experience a plus but not a must.
- The applicant must be hardworking, reliable and presentable
- Applicant must be able to carry out jobs from start to finish without supervision
- Applicants must hold Working at Heights Certificate and White Card
ATTRACTIVE SALARY ON OFFER BASED ON APPLICANTS EXPERIENCE.
Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
