Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and document existing warehouse work procedures from receipt to dispatch of inventory and identify any inefficiencies/bottlenecks within daily activities.
- Complete time and motion reviews on all warehouse functions.
- Recommend and document work procedures to streamline inventory movement to reduce timeframes and maximise warehouse layout utilisation.
- Develop relevant KPI’s for each area of the warehouse to ensure accurate monitoring of processes and impact of recommended improvements.
- Review current computer warehouse management system (Harmony) to identify areas of process improvement.
- Work closely with warehouse manager and inventory teams to implement new workflows and to ensure all staff, current and new, are across all required work practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in a warehouse, logistics and operations environment, essential.
- Completed a relevant qualification in business, information systems, operations, supply chain, logistics or related discipline.
- Experience with a computerised warehouse management systems; Experience with Harmony would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability identify practical recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings, write clear procedures and work effectively with operational stakeholders.
