Are you an experienced administrator and natural leader looking for a role where your skills can make a real difference?
NAAJA is looking for a motivated and highly organised Criminal Practice Manager to join our Crime team on a fixed-term, full-time basis in Katherine.
This is more than your typical administration role. As a key part of our criminal law practice, you will help keep a fast-paced and dynamic legal service running smoothly while leading and supporting a team of Criminal Administrative Officers.
You’ll be at the centre of the action, coordinating people, processes, data, travel, onboarding and administrative systems, while working closely with lawyers and managers to support the delivery of high-quality and accessible legal services.
What you’ll be doing
No two days will be the same. You’ll take the lead in:
- Managing, supporting and mentoring a team of administrative professionals
- Coordinating workloads, staff development, leave and day-to-day operations
- Driving efficient administrative processes and practice coordination
- Supporting lawyers and managers across a busy criminal law practice
- Managing data, reporting and key administrative requirements
- Coordinating staff onboarding, travel, accommodation and operational needs
- Acting as a central point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders
About you
You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to bring order to complexity. You’re highly organised, confident working with a range of stakeholders and enjoy supporting others to succeed.
You will bring strong administrative and organisational skills, experience leading or mentoring a team, confidence using databases and Microsoft Office, and an understanding of office procedures and legal file management.
Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, initiative and a genuine commitment to supporting the delivery of quality legal and justice services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
