We’re looking for a Workday Payroll Functional Analyst to play a key role in the delivery of our payroll transformation. You’ll partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to shape requirements, design solutions and support end-to-end delivery of Workday Payroll.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep AU payroll expertise with strong business analysis capability and hands-on Workday experience.
In this role you will:
- Lead payroll requirements gathering, analysis and documentation (HLRs, BRDs, user stories)
- Own and validate Workday Payroll workbooks for AU payroll
- Design end-to-end payroll processes and support solution design decisions
- Conduct impact and gap analysis, providing clear recommendations
- Support testing – including test case creation, execution, defect triage and payroll validation
- Deliver parallel payroll testing, including scenario development and reconciliation
- Manage requirements lifecycle, including traceability and alignment across streams
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions align to legislative and business needs
- Contribute to a strong risk, compliance and control environment
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience delivering Workday Payroll (AU) implementations
- Strong knowledge of AU payroll legislation, ATO reporting and compliance
- Proven experience in parallel payroll testing, reconciliation and balancing
- Experience translating awards/EBAs into system rules
- Strong business analysis capability across complex transformation programs
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders
- Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments
- Nice to have: Workday HCM knowledge, Exposure to UK payroll
