About the Centre for Advanced Data APAC
The Centre for Advanced Data (C4AD) is Accenture's specialist centre of excellence that sets the architecture standard for modern, AI-ready data estates across APAC, and mobilises the talent to deliver them at scale.
The C4AD operates across three core disciplines: Master Data Architecture, Knowledge Engineering, and Data Products. Every practitioner in the C4AD is expected to apply agentic and generative techniques as the default way of working, not as an add-on. The centre supports large-scale data and AI transformation programmes across the region, ranging from enterprise data modernisation to AI-ready platform builds.
Job Description
Join the Centre for Advanced Data APAC as a Senior Data Architect, where you will design modernisation and migration paths for large enterprise data estates and lead the agentic conversion of legacy schemas, code, and pipelines with human-in-the-loop control gates. The goal is to rearchitect how data is structured, governed, and activated, so that AI can be scaled reliably across it.
You will engage across executive and technical stakeholder communities, operating as a trusted authority on data modernisation strategy and guiding delivery teams through the full scope of enterprise transformation.
Project Description / Key Responsibilities
-
Design end-to-end modernisation and migration paths for large enterprise data estates, including legacy schema rationalisation, pipeline redesign, and target state architecture definition.
-
Lead the agentic conversion of legacy code, schemas, and data pipelines, applying LLM-assisted automation with human-in-the-loop control gates to accelerate transformation without sacrificing quality or governance.
-
Architect data platforms that are AI-ready by design, establishing the data quality, lineage, semantic enrichment, and governance foundations that make AI trustworthy and scalable.
-
Define and govern architectural patterns, standards, and reference architectures across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
-
Design and deliver Data Product architectures aligned to data mesh, data lakehouse, and domain-driven principles.
-
Collaborate with C-suite, CDOs, and senior technology leaders to translate modernisation strategy into architectural decisions with clear, measurable outcomes.
-
Provide technical leadership and architecture governance across delivery teams throughout complex transformation programmes.
-
Support pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal development for major data modernisation opportunities across APAC.
-
Ensure all architectures comply with data privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the APAC region.
Key Skills
-
10+ years of experience in data architecture, with proven deep expertise delivering large-scale enterprise data modernisation and migration programmes.
-
Proven deep expertise in cloud data platform architecture across at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP, able to make and defend architectural decisions without reliance on a single stack.
-
Demonstrated experience designing and executing modernisation paths for complex legacy data estates, including schema migration, pipeline conversion, and technical debt rationalisation at scale.
-
Hands-on exposure to agentic and LLM-assisted approaches to data engineering, including using AI tooling to accelerate code conversion, schema mapping, and pipeline refactoring with appropriate human oversight.
-
Proven experience designing Data Product architectures, including data contracts, semantic layers, and domain-oriented ownership models.
-
Deep expertise in what it takes to make an enterprise AI-ready at the data layer: data quality pipelines, lineage, cataloguing, feature engineering, and governed ML data supply chains.
-
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi) and DataOps/DevOps practices to deliver automated, operable, and maintainable platforms.
-
Deep familiarity with modern architectural patterns: data mesh, data lakehouse, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design.
-
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, proven ability to present and defend architectural positions to executive and board-level audiences.
-
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical teams and elevate architectural capability across a practice.
-
Industry experience in Financial Services, Government, Health, Energy, or Utilities sectors in APAC is highly regarded.
-
Good communication skills and ability to learn quickly.
