Yallingup Organic Dairy is a certified organic dairy operation based in regional Western
Australia, specialising in sustainable livestock production and high-quality dairy products.
The business operates using advanced organic and regenerative farming practices and
requires specialised knowledge in herd health, nutrition, and production systems.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Consultant (Dairy Production) to
support and enhance our livestock production systems. This is a full-time, ongoing position
offering a salary between $85,000- $95,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate
with skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical advice on dairy production, including herd health, breeding and
feeding programs
Develop and implement herd management strategies to improve productivity and
animal welfare
Oversee breeding programs, including artificial insemination and reproductive
planning
Monitor and analyse herd performance data, including milk yield and health
outcomes
Provide specialised care for cows and calves following birth
Design and manage pasture systems using rotational grazing techniques
Implement biosecurity and disease prevention programs
Develop feeding and nutrition strategies to optimise production efficiency
Ensure compliance with organic dairy standards and milk quality requirements
Support and guide farm staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations
Requirements:
Relevant qualification at Bachelor level or higher in Animal Science,
Agriculture, or a related field
At least 3 years relevant experience in livestock/dairy production
Demonstrated knowledge of herd health, breeding, nutrition, and pasture
management
Ability to work autonomously and productively
Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work in a regional environment
Ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts where required
