Senior Project Manager – APAC
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to own delivery outcomes across a complex enterprise software engagement, or a small number of related engagements, in the APAC region. This is a senior, client-facing delivery role: you are the person our clients know owns the day-to-day running of their engagement, accountable for the plan, delivery execution, governance discipline, budget tracking, forecast accuracy, and change-control process, from kickoff through go-live and transition into run-state.
Reporting to the Director of Services, APAC, you own the project plan and the engagement-level delivery controls for one or more engagements at a time, working closely with Account Management, who own the overall client relationship and commercial strategy. You chair steering committees, lead scope and change discussions, and run the day-to-day delivery cadence, including the schedule, RAID log, budget and forecast. You are comfortable moving between executive stakeholders and the detailed delivery plan in the same day, and you take full ownership of an engagement’s delivery from the first kickoff call through to a clean transition into run-state.
What you’ll do
Own the day-to-day delivery relationship across a a single large key engagement or a small number of related engagements, as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders on delivery matters, working alongside Account Management on the broader client relationship.
Own the end-to-end project plan for your assigned engagement(s): build and maintain the schedule, milestones, dependencies and critical path, and hold workstream owners accountable to it.
Chair steering committees and run the operational cadence of delivery status meetings, RAID log management, and action tracking keeping clients and internal stakeholders aligned on progress, risks and next steps.
Take accountability for engagement delivery outcomes end-to-end: delivery quality, client satisfaction, and engagement-level commercial discipline, including budget tracking, margin awareness, forecast accuracy, and change-control follow-through across your assigned engagements.
Manage scope and change proactively: identify change, prepare change requests with clear cost and schedule impact, and work with Services Leadership and Account Management to drive them through to client sign-off.
Identify, track and mitigate project risks and issues, managing escalations to resolution and surfacing expansion and renewal signals to Account Management and Customer Success.
Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including Services SMEs, consultants, engineers and client-side resources, and forecast resource demand for assigned engagements, working with Services Operations to keep capacity, margin and delivery commitments in balance.
Uphold and promote Aptitude’s delivery methodology and governance standards, maintaining high-quality documentation and contributing lessons learned and reusable practices back into the region.
What you’ll bring
Proven experience owning end-to-end delivery of enterprise software implementations in a B2B SaaS environment. Ideally financial systems, subscription platforms, or similarly complex enterprise solutions.
A track record as the delivery lead on complex engagements, trusted by senior client stakeholders including C-level executives, with the gravitas to chair a steering committee and the judgement to know when to escalate.
Strong commercial acumen: engagement-level budget and margin management, forecasting, and scope and change control.
Strong command of the core project management toolkit: planning and scheduling, RAID management, budgeting and forecasting, status reporting, and change control, applied with real rigour rather than process for its own sake.
A formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent), is useful, but practical experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise software delivery is more important.
A clear, confident communicator who builds alignment across client, partner and internal teams, and keeps momentum through complexity.
Comfortable working in a hybrid model, with regional travel and on-site client work as delivery needs require.
