Casual Medical Receptionist
Complete Health at Crossways is a modern, patient-centered General Practice and Skin Cancer Clinic committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to our local community. We are looking for a friendly, organised, and motivated Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy medical practice.
About the Role
As a Casual Medical Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Managing appointments and the daily appointment schedule
- Answering and directing telephone enquiries
- Processing patient registrations and updating medical records
- Managing billing, Medicare claims, EFTPOS transactions, and receipting
- Responding to patient enquiries with empathy and professionalism
- Supporting GPs, nurses, and the wider practice team with administrative tasks
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring compliance with privacy legislation
- General reception and administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice
- MUST BE AVAILABLE FRIDAYS & HALF DAY ON SATURDAY
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience (preferred)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, compassionate, and professional manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new software
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
Experience using Best Practice software is desirable.
