About the job
The Clinical Consultant will focus on quality improvement, and systems change through delivering workforce support, reflective practice, and tailored facilitation support to mental health services nationally.
Reporting to the Clinical Program Lead you will:
- Shape youth mental health services - deliver specialist clinical consultation, coaching and workforce development across Australia
- Design training and resources - create and deliver face-to-face and virtual learning activities and practical tools for services
- Build stakeholder relationships - partner with programs, lead agencies and PHNs to strengthen networks and collaboration
- Champion quality and fidelity - contribute to assessments, report writing and quality improvement activities
- Coach and lead with purpose - provide ICF-aligned coaching and reflective practice support to mental health staff and leaders
Skills and experience
The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing, allied health or health related discipline and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or equivalent professional body.
- Post-qualification experience in youth mental health, with strong grounding in early intervention and transdiagnostic, formulation-driven approaches.
- Proven ability to deliver training, consultation and clinical supervision to both clinical and non-clinical staff, face-to-face and online.
- Understanding of the national youth mental health policy landscape, evidence-based practice and the ability to contribute to quality improvement and policy development.
- A collaborative team player who works independently, manages competing priorities and builds open, transparent relationships.
