About the Opportunity
We are seeking an oil and gas industry professional with a strong background in the management and successful delivery of offshore projects, including over-sight on the delivery of multi-discipline engineering services.
You will be working on a variety of small to medium offshore projects. Reporting to the Project Manager/Package Lead, your key focus will be working closely with your clients, to understand their needs and to drive the implementation of cost effective and practical solutions.
This role will provide you the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in the planning and execution of projects, to safely delivering on project KPIs.
About You
You come with tertiary qualifications in the engineering field (structural or mechanical preferable) with at least 10+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry. Your experience spans across managing multi-discipline engineering teams, project engineering/ package management and offshore execution.
Essential attributes you will bring to this position include:
- You are well versed in managing detailed engineered design phases, and familiar with the application offshore industry design codes, standards and specifications.
- Experience working within a client's office and delivery work within their systems and processes.
- Demonstrated experience in working within a multidisciplinary organisation or design house.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement and subcontractor management, including scoping and issuing RFQs/ITTs, evaluating tenders, and managing subcontractors to deliver on requirements
- Proven capability of managing medium sized projects up to $5m in value, achieving project KPIs (i.e. schedule, cost, quality).
- Demonstrated offshore site experience supervising personnel is highly regarded.
- Ability to lead, influence, motivate and drive project teams.
- Experience in client facing roles highly desirable.
- You are an innovative, strategic thinker with commercial acumen.
- Experienced in cost estimating and tender/ proposal preparation.
- Experience in effective project monitoring and auditing and exhibit streamlined decision-making skills.
