Skid Steer Operator – Permanent Position
RECS Group Australia is seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator for a casual Or permanent, full-time position working across civil, mining and environmental projects throughout regional NSW.
Reporting to the Project Supervisor, you will operate skid steers and other plant as required to safely and efficiently deliver project requirements. This position suits a capable operator who takes pride in accurate work, looks after their equipment and works well within a high-performing team.
RECS Group has sustainable, long-term contracts throughout regional NSW. The successful applicant must therefore be willing and able to work away from home as required.
Your duties will include:
- Operating skid steers safely and efficiently across varied project environments
- Completing detailed earthworks, trimming, site preparation and general civil works
- Competently operating a range of skid steer attachments
- Operating other plant and equipment where suitably trained and authorised
- Completing work in accordance with project specifications, plans and company programs
- Undertaking daily pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Identifying and reporting plant defects promptly
- Working safely around personnel, vehicles and other mobile plant
- Complying with all RECS Group WHS, environmental and quality requirements
- Supporting the wider project team to achieve safe and productive outcomes
About you:
- Demonstrated experience operating skid steers in civil construction, mining, rehabilitation or environmental works
- Competent in detailed work and confident using multiple attachments
- Current Class C driver licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Relevant plant competency or VOC documentation
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
- Able to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
- Willing and able to work away throughout regional NSW
- Experience operating additional civil plant will be highly regarded
RECS Group maintains a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy. The successful applicant must comply with pre-employment and ongoing workplace testing requirements.
A six-month probationary period will apply.
