In this varied role, you'll help manage specialist billing, support Training, Education and Study Leave (TESL) processes, and contribute to the smooth operation of one of NSW's busiest hospitals.

Based within Surgical Services at John Hunter Hospital, you'll become part of a trusted and supportive team that values collaboration, respect and delivering high-quality outcomes. About the role:
No two days are exactly the same. You'll work closely with medical specialists, managers and finance teams to coordinate billing and revenue processes while ensuring important administrative functions are completed accurately and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating documentation for Training, Education and Study Leave (TESL) applications.

Setting up anaesthetists within the billing system to enable Medicare billing.

Tracking TESL balances and maintaining accurate records.

Preparing iExpense submissions for Staff Specialists.

Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies.

Building strong working relationships with clinicians and internal stakeholders to support efficient financial processes.
About you:
You're organised, proactive and enjoy working in a role where accuracy matters. You can manage competing priorities, communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and take ownership of your work.
You'll be highly regarded if you have:

Experience in finance, revenue or administrative roles.

Previous experience within NSW Health or the healthcare sector.

Knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) billing or a willingness to learn.

Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
