Alpha Fresh is Canberra's leading wholesale food supplier, delivering premium fruit & veg, meat, poultry, and seafood daily to the hospitality industry. Based in Hume & Fyshwick, we're a fast-growing business with a strong reputation for quality and reliability.
We've recently launched a commercial prep kitchen - a dedicated production space for pre-prepared vegetables, pre-cooked meats, and ready-made meals for our wholesale and retail customers. This is a warehouse-based, production-driven environment, not to be confused with a traditional cafe or restaurant kitchen.
We're now on the lookout for reliable, motivated people to join our team as Kitchen Prep / Labourers and help support this exciting new area of the business.
Your role will include:
- Packing, slicing, dicing, and mincing fresh produce and meats (both by hand and using machines)
- Operating commercial machinery such as mincers and cryovac (vac-pack) machines
- Unloading deliveries and rotating stock to maintain freshness and quality
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment, machinery, and work areas
- Helping keep the warehouse and prep areas clean, organised, and safe
What we're looking for:
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Reliability and the ability to keep pace in a busy production environment
- Comfortable working with machinery and on your feet (full training provided)
- Previous kitchen, food prep, or warehouse experience is ideal but not essential
Shifts available:
We have early morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available
