Inglewood & Districts Health Service (IDHS) is situated in the Shire of Loddon and provides services to more than 5,500 residents in the communities of Bridgewater, Inglewood, Korong Vale, Newbridge, Serpentine, Tarnagulla, Wedderburn and surrounding townships.

Role description
We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Ward Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will provide professional administrative and clerical support to nursing staff while delivering exceptional customer service to patients, families, and stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the ward.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and professional first point of contact for all visitors, patients, and stakeholders

Respond to face-to-face, phone, and email enquiries promptly and courteously

Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately

Perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including reception relief, filing, and photocopying

Assist patients, clients, and caregivers in accessing services and programs
-
Manage incoming and outgoing mail across departments
-
Liaise with pharmacy services as required
-
Provide administrative support to clinical and non-clinical staff
-
Complete accurate data entry and prepare reports as required

Monitor and order medical supplies
-
Coordinate transport bookings for patients and residents
-
Complete patient admissions and enter data into the patient management system

Maintain inpatient medical records and ensure discharged files are completed and returned

Prepare and check daily bed return reports

Support medical records processes, including file preparation and filing

Undertake roster administration using Kronos
