What you will do as the Senior Business Analyst
- Manage and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand the business domain, elicit requirements, challenge assumptions, and secure alignment.
- Analyse the problem domain, its processes, systems and data, to build domain expertise and guide solution design, discover new solution opportunities, identify business impacts, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Capture knowledge, requirements/features, and designs in documents, presentations, and backlog items to direct project deliverables, communicate ideas and concepts, and inform team decision-making.
- Collaborate with product owners and project management to build and refine product backlogs to ensure the most appropriate prioritisation and delivery scheduling aligned to business value.
- Engage in all Scrum events, assisting with sprint planning, backlog refinement and ordering, requirements comprehension, and delivery improvements.
About you
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
- Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and express these as requirements and user stories.
- Experience conducting research and in-depth analysis of existing business processes, data and products.
- Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, end users, product owners, architects, developers, data modellers and testers to design and deliver solutions.
- Highly developed organisational skills, with a proven ability to prioritise competing demands, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, establish clear expectations, and take ownership of outcomes, demonstrating initiative and the capacity to work independently to deliver the agency’s program of work and meet deadlines.

Salary: $102,947 - $115,384 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
