We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the software behind our world-leading electric hydrofoils.
Unlike traditional software roles, this position combines mobile app development, cloud platforms and direct integration with custom hardware. You'll work across the Flite App, cloud services and connected electronics that power every ride, collaborating closely with firmware, electronics and product teams.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll develop and evolve the software that powers the Fliteboard experience, from mobile applications and cloud services through to hardware-integrated features used by riders around the world.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building high-quality products and seeing their work come to life on the water.
What You'll Be Doing
Building Great Software
- Develop and maintain the cross-platform Flite App (Flutter, iOS and Android)
- Build and support cloud services using AWS, React and Postgres
- Design, test and deliver scalable, maintainable software
- Participate in code reviews and GitLab development workflows
Connecting Software and Hardware
- Collaborate with embedded firmware and electronics Engineers
- Work with Bluetooth LE communications and connected devices
- Debug and improve hardware-integrated features
- Participate in on-water and off-water product testing
Driving Innovation
- Contribute to technical design and product evolution
- Champion software quality, performance and reliability
- Stay current with emerging technologies and Engineering best practices
- Help create seamless, customer-focused experiences
About You
You'll be a collaborative Engineer who enjoys solving real-world problems and building products people love to use.
You'll bring:
- 5+ years experience developing mobile applications using Flutter, Swift and/or Kotlin
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS Lambda, React and Postgres
- Knowledge of Bluetooth LE communications and protocols
- Strong software design, testing and debugging skills
- Experience working within collaborative Engineering teams
- A passion for quality, innovation and continuous improvement
Bonus points for:
- Experience with embedded systems or hardware/software integration
- Knowledge of Nordic nRF52 or STM32 platforms
- Experience in marine, mobility or sports technology
- C# development experience

Pay: $108,155.88 – $150,000.00 per year
