Alpha Fresh is Canberra's leading wholesale food supplier, delivering premium fruit & veg, meat, poultry, and seafood daily to the hospitality industry. Based in Hume & Fyshwick, we’re a fast-growing business with a strong reputation for quality and reliability.
We’ve recently launched a commercial prep kitchen, creating a dedicated space for producing pre-prepared vegetables, pre-cooked meats, and ready-made meals for our wholesale and retail customers. It's a production driven environment not to be confused with a traditional cafe or restaurant kitchen.
We’re now on the lookout for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team and support this exciting new area of the business.
Your role will include:
- Peeling, cutting, and processing of fresh fruit and vegetables (both by hand and using machines)
- Operating commercial cooking and prep equipment
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment and work areas
- Helping maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
- Supporting both our wholesale production and retail meal prep operations
What we’re looking for:
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Previous kitchen or food prep experience is ideal but not essential – we’ll provide full training
