Assistant Sports Coach

Bullseye Sports & Training is looking for an energetic, reliable and motivated Assistant Sports Coach to join our growing team.
This role will have a strong focus on Athletics and Netball, while also giving you the opportunity to assist with programs across Soccer, Touch Rugby and other school-based sports.
You’ll work alongside our Head Coaches to help deliver structured and engaging sessions for school-aged athletes, with a focus on developing sporting skills, confidence, coordination, fitness and overall athletic ability.
About the Role
As an Assistant Coach, you’ll help with:
- Running drills and skill-based activities
- Demonstrating correct technique
- Supporting individual athletes during sessions
- Helping manage groups of children and teenagers
- Setting up and packing down equipment
- Creating a positive, energetic and professional environment
- Supporting athlete development across multiple sports
For Athletics, sessions may include sprinting, relays, hurdles, jumping, throwing events, speed and agility work.
For Netball, sessions may include passing, footwork, shooting, defensive skills, attacking movement, positioning and game-based activities.
There will also be opportunities to assist with Soccer, Touch Rugby and other sporting programs depending on your experience and interests.
What We’re Looking For
We’re ideally looking for someone who:
- Has a strong interest or background in Athletics and/or Netball
- Ideally holds a Cert III in Fitness/Personal Training or another relevant qualification in fitness, sport or coaching
- Is confident working with children and young athletes
- Is energetic, approachable and professional
- Is reliable and able to follow direction from Head Coaches
- Has a genuine interest in sport, fitness and athlete development
- Is willing to coach across multiple sports when required
Sport & Exercise Science, Physical Education, Fitness and Coaching students are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Applicants should ideally have or be willing to obtain:
- Current Queensland Blue Card
- First Aid
- CPR
- Current driver licence
- Reliable, registered and operational vehicle for travelling between school locations
Previous coaching experience is highly regarded but is not essential for the right person.
This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to build practical experience in sports coaching, fitness and athlete development, with the potential to progress into Lead Coach or specialised coaching roles as Bullseye Sports & Training continues to expand.
Pay: $42.00 – $52.34 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 – 18.0 per week
