The Role
We are currently seeking an MPU Commissioning Specialist to join our Operational Readiness Team, supporting the commissioning, testing and handover of specialised Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) and explosives charging equipment across Western Australia. You will play a critical role in ensuring new equipment is delivered safely, efficiently and to specification before handover to operations. You'll work closely with suppliers, project managers and site stakeholders throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
You will also
Conducting supplier inspections and quality surveillance during equipment builds
Performing functional testing, safety verification and final quality acceptance activities.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and equipment faults.
Supporting factory acceptance, site commissioning and equipment handover activities
Working closely with Project Managers and operational stakeholders to coordinate commissioning activities and delivery timelines.
Preparing technical documentation, methodologies and commissioning records.
Travelling to mine sites across hard rock, iron ore and coal operations as required.
What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you'll bring strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on experience working with underground and surface mining equipment.
You will ideally have:

Experience working with explosives charging equipment and underground mining operations.
Experience with Mobile Processing Units (MPUs)
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
Knowledge of process safety, risk management, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
A trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline.
The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships.
A willingness to travel regularly and adapt to changing operational requirements
