Make an impact working as Clinical Trials Coordinator (Registered Nurse) in the ONJ Centre, Austin Health.
Full time, (40 hours per week with ADO), less by negotiation for a parental leave cover position.

About the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre
The Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC) is an integral part of Austin Health Cancer Services, conducting therapeutic and interventional cancer clinical trials across the Medical Oncology and Clinical Haematology tumour streams. The CCTC manages over 250 clinical trials concurrently ranging from Phase 1 (including First-in-human) to Phase 3, including a mix of investigator-initiated research, collaborative group studies, and pharmaceutical company-sponsored trials. There are over 60 dedicated and highly experienced staff working alongside more than 20 principal investigators to provide direct patient care and ensure the highest quality management of clinical trials.
CCTC comprises six tumour stream teams, each led a Team Leader. These teams include Trial Coordinators (Registered Nurses), a Research Assistant, and a Clinical Research Fellow, supported by dedicated staff in ethics submissions, data management, finance, and quality assurance.
The atmosphere within the CCTC is energetic, friendly, and cohesive, underpinned by a strong work ethic shared by all team members.
About the role
The successful applicant will become part of an established tumour stream team, led by a Team Leader and will be responsible for the primary coordination of clinical trials and the management of patients on those trials. The role involves delivery of direct and in-direct clinical-trial-related care of patients, associated data collection and maintenance of essential trial documents for concurrent studies.
A regular day will see you:
Coordinate and manage a number of trials concurrently
Manage the care of patients participating in clinical trials, ensuring compliance with the trial protocol, reporting requirements and ethical guidelines.
Ensure accurate and timely source documentation and data entry, and the maintenance of essential documents that validate integrity in the conduct of the clinical trial.
Liaise with Principal Investigators, multidisciplinary team and Trial Monitors.
About you
You are a compassionate and organised Registered Nurse who brings strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, high‑quality care within a dynamic clinical trials environment.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration.
Solid Oncology/Haematology nursing experience.
Demonstrated excellence in patient management, organisation and communication.
Excellent team working skills, with ability to work independently
Developed computer literacy skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
