Australia-wide, family owned and operated, fragile freight transport company is looking for a talented and experienced MR &/or HR driver to join their Brisbane team. Reporting directly to the despatch manager, once fully trained you will be operating independently, making 6-10 drops/collections per day of various sensitive freight. Each day prep and load truck for next days deliveries as well as assisting interstate operations with crossdocking.
DETAILS
- Daily local deliveries to greater Brisbane and surrounding suburbs, with regular services to Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.
- Work on your own predominantly, dealing with customers in a professional manner and raising issues with despatch as needed.
· Interstate (Linehaul) work also available for the right candidate
- Load / unload freight and/or shipping containers
- Occasional trips outside of Brisbane when required
- Assisting Operations Manager when and where required
- All deliveries are on Pantech’s with tailgate unload, access to plenty of equipment available to minimise labour as much as possible
- Hours can vary, but aiming for between 35-45 hours a week mostly daytime hours with very little weekend/evenings
- Immediate start ideal
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of an MR Licence (HR highly regarded)
- LF Forklift ticket also highly regarded
- Clean driving record (must show proof)
- Good health and fitness level
- Be a team player with good communication skills and Fluency in English
- Previous experience in fragile freight or furniture is highly regarded
- Flexible employment options available (hourly, salary, full time, permanent part -time). Hourly starting 35/hr with all penalties as per award
