Position Available: PCA – Social Support (One-off Shift)
We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a client with a social support outing.
Client Details:
- Female client, located in Smiths Lake
- Requires escort and support for medical appointment
- Staff member must remain with client at all times
Shift Details:
- Date: Wednesday, 15 July
- Time: 8:30 am pickup
- Duration: 3 hours
- Type: One-off Social Support shift
Service Outline:
- Pick up client from 9 The Jack, Smiths Lake
- Transport client to Beckenridge Street, Forster for 9:00 am appointment
- Stay with client throughout appointment
- Provide return support as required within shift duration
Experience & Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability) or equivalent
- Previous experience in community care or in-home support (preferred)
- Experience providing social support / transport assistance to elderly clients
- Confidence working with clients who require mobility assistance and supervision
- Ability to remain with client throughout appointments as required
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (if transport required)
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans
- Understanding of client dignity, safety, and WHS requirements
