The Graduate Research Office provides leadership and support across Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidature management, recruitment, finance, engagement, and training. The Office is committed to delivering an outstanding HDR experience and fostering excellence in graduate research at Murdoch University.
Your New Role!
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Administration Officer plays a key role in supporting the daily administrative operations of the Graduate Research Office, ensuring the smooth delivery of its services.
Your key responsibilities will include –

Provide administrative and operational support to the Graduate Research Office, including coordinating events, workshops and seminars, managing office procedures, financial processes, records, calendars, contracts, timesheets, and reception services

Deliver high-quality customer service and stakeholder support by assisting HDR students and staff, responding to enquiries, facilitating connections with relevant University services, and maintaining effective working relationships across the University

Support graduate research operations and compliance by assisting with HDR admissions, candidacy and business processes, policy development and implementations, committee activities, and ensuring adherence to University policies, procedures, and values

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $82k– $91k (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- Relevant qualifications or experience, including completion of a diploma-level qualification or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with HDR candidates, staff, and stakeholders at all levels

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and seek guidance when required

Knowledge if University policies and procedures, and ability to apply them appropriately in an administrative environment
