Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and laboratory materials required for scientific testing and research activities
- Conduct laboratory examinations and analytical procedures on organic and inorganic substances in accordance with established protocols
- Collect, label, and process samples from laboratory and field sources for testing and evaluation
- Record, interpret, and compile test results, preparing technical reports, charts, graphs, and other documentation
- Carry out measurements, calculations, and data analysis to support experimental and quality assurance activities
- Monitor laboratory inventory levels and assess the quality of chemicals, consumables, and other laboratory supplies
- Inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment to ensure accurate performance
- Support the installation, adjustment, and modification of laboratory apparatus and testing systems to meet operational requirements
- Ensure laboratory procedures comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and databases, ensuring test results and observations are properly documented
- Follow laboratory safety procedures for the handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Diploma or above qualification
· Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant industry experience (or equivalent part-time experience)
· Strong understanding of chemical testing techniques for both organic and inorganic substances
· Ability to prepare laboratory reagents, solutions, and experimental materials accurately
· Analytical skills for interpreting experimental data and identifying trends or anomalies
· Proficiency in operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment
· Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling regulations
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in experimental work and record-keeping
· Problem-solving skills to assist in troubleshooting equipment and experimental issues.
Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
