Description:
The Team Leader is responsible for managing staff and resources to ensure operational and contractual compliance for Bamara in our Work Force Australia program. The Team Leader will work under the Regional Manager to oversee and manage the people management strategies, change processes and continuous improvement of Bamara programs and services in their allotted sites. The sites that the Team Leader will cover are Earlville, Cairns's city and Mossman, regular travel to sites is required.
The Team Leader will identify and promote new ways of working to empower staff to deliver on the strategic business plan, create new business opportunities as well as drive the implementation of new programs in Bamara. The Team Leader supports Bamara to meet and exceed operational and financial targets by developing and implementing strategies to reach and exceed our business plan.
Skills and Experiences:
- Proven experience in a senior position within the Employment Services sector
- Strong business acumen to quickly learn how the business works and how to utilise strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives
- Strong ability to comfortably work towards KPI's and targets in order to meet and exceed performance and financial objectives
- Inspiring, encouraging, and motivating leadership abilities
- Ability to make sound decisions with a defensible rationale
- Dedicated to providing organisation common systems for designing and measuring work processes
- Creates strong morale and spirit in the team and fosters open dialogue
- Relates well to all kinds of people, inside and outside the organisation
- Demonstrates consistency in working effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, pressured environment
- High Level verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- IT skills including working experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Strategic thinking skills and the ability to provide strategic advice, develop options, analyse risks, make good judgements, and solve problems
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills
- Certificate IV in Employment Services (preferred but not essential)
- Proven experience working with government contractual obligations and guidelines
- Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
- Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
