Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Officer to join the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), providing critical strategic, operational, and governance support to drive the success of the Directorate’s financial functions.
In this influential role, you will act as a key liaison between the CFO and senior stakeholders, coordinating and prioritising a broad range of financial, corporate, and strategic initiatives aligned with organisational priorities. Working in a complex and fast-paced environment, you will exercise sound judgement, strategic insight, and a strong understanding of public sector governance to support decision-making, anticipate risks, and manage emerging issues.
With a high degree of autonomy, you will play an integral role in ensuring initiatives are delivered effectively against competing priorities and tight timeframes, contributing to strong organisational performance and accountability.

Highly Desirable:

Experience working within a central agency, finance function, or executive support environment supporting senior leadership.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, frameworks and policies, such as the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act or equivalent.

Strong ICT proficiency, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel).

Demonstrated experience using records and information management systems, including TRIM (HPE Content Manager) and SharePoint.

Familiarity with ACT Government systems and processes, including travel booking systems.
