The Role
The Coordinator Procurement Services provides leadership of Council’s procurement function to deliver value-for-money outcomes, ensuring strong governance and compliance to enable efficient services delivery. This role provides strategic and operational leadership, drives innovation and continuous improvement and builds strong partnerships to support organisational priorities and community outcomes.
What you will be doing:
You will lead, optimise and continuously improve procurement services while ensuring strong governance and delivering value to the Council and community. You will utilise your leadership, technical expertise and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset to drive effective and compliant procurement outcomes.
You will:
- Lead the procurement function by providing direction, mentoring staff and building a high-performing, values-driven team.
- Oversee day-to-day procurement operations to ensure efficient processes, quality service and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance and governance by applying procurement frameworks, managing risk and maintaining probity.
- Collaborate across Council to support strategic priorities and enhance services delivery.

- Extensive knowledge of procurement, contract management and compliance within a complex environment.
- Strong communication and relationship skills when advising stakeholders, negotiating outcomes and building effective partnerships.
- Capability to manage budgets and deliver value-for-money outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements to be successful in this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, business, or a related discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- High-level financial and budget management skills, including risk management and governance compliance.
- Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver’s licence
